Qui sommes-nous ? / Who are we ?

Claire Rouvery 

J'étais, jusqu'en juin 2022, professeur des écoles à l’EFB de Greenville au primaire. Je suis très triste que cette aventure s'arrête, car j'ai beaucoup aimé y enseigner.

J’ai enseigné à l'EFB aux enfants des niveaux CE1/CE2 pendant 12 ans. En France, avant de venir vivre aux Etats-Unis avec mon mari, j’ai enseigné pendant 6 ans en CM1 et CM2 dans une école à Saint-Cloud (92). 

De formation plutôt littéraire, j'ai également une licence de Lettres Modernes, obtenue à la Sorbonne. Ma famille et moi vivons à Greenville depuis seize ans et mes enfants sont tous nés ici. 

Je suis maman de quatre enfants âgés de 3 ans à 15 ans. Tous nos enfants sont scolarisés dans le système public américain (Mitchell Elementary, Northwood middle, Riverside High) depuis plusieurs années. Notre fille de 3 ans va aller aux Ateliers Maternelle.

Sophie Laurent 

Je suis française et je vis en Caroline du Sud avec ma famille depuis 2018.

Après mes études de Psychologie, j'ai travaillé 13 ans en France dans une école maternelle et une école primaire. J'ai enseigné de la petite section de maternelle jusqu'au CM2 pour des enfants en difficulté. J'ai aussi enseigné le Français pour des enfants étrangers. J'ai aussi une spécialisation pour enseigner aux enfants ayant des difficultés d'apprentissage.

J'ai 3 enfants. Le plus âgé est Antone, 12 ans, en 7th grade. Milan, qui a 8 ans, en 3rd grade, et mon plus jeune, Isaac, qui a 3 ans.

Benoit Rouvery 

Je suis le mari de Claire.

Je suis consultant en tant que responsable projet.

Pour CFDGreenville, je m'occupe de l'administration (par exemple, facturation, site internet). J'anime le Club de Français Robotique. J'ai de l'expérience dans ce domaine par mon métier et j'animais déjà un atelier de robotique après l'école du temps de l'EFB.

Je suis content de pouvoir accompagner Claire dans son projet.

Claire Rouvery 

I was an elementary school teacher at EFB Greenville, until June 2022. I am very sad that this adventure has ended, because I really enjoyed teaching there.

I taught children in CE1 / CE2 levels (2nd and 3rd grades) at EFB during 12 years. 

In France, before coming to live in the USA, I taught for 6 years in CM1 and CM2 ( 4th and 5th grades), in a school at Saint-Cloud (92), close to Paris. 

My studies were focused in literacy; I also have a license in Modern Letters, obtained at the Sorbonne, in Paris. I have also a certification to teach to the children from K3 to 5th grade.

My family and I have lived in Greenville for sixteen years now, and my children were all born here.

I am a mother of four children who are from 3 years to 15 years. All our children attend Greenville county public school (Mitchell Elementary, Northwood middle and Riverside high) since several years. Our youngest daughter will attend the Ateliers Maternelle

Sophie Laurent 

I am French, and I live in the US with my family since 2018.

After Psychology studies, I worked thirteen years in France with preschool and elementary kids as a teacher. During my career, I taught kids in K3 to 5th grade, I taught kids with disabilities and I also taught French as a foreign language in a little. I have a French education certification and a certification for specialized education.

I am really excited to teach French to your kids! I am looking forward to a year of learning, fun and adventures & helping them succeed in their French skills and participation during our French class.

I have three sons. My oldest Antone, 12, is in 7th grade. Milan, who is 8 years old, is in 3rd grade, and my youngest, Isaac, is 3 years old.

I am Claire's husband.

I am a consultant mainly as project manager.

For CFDGreenville, I'm doing the administration (for example, invoicing and website).

I'm doing the Robotic French Club. I gain experience with my job. I was also responsible for the after school robotic club at the French School.

I'm glad to be able to support Claire in her project.
